About the Role
We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Data Scientist to join our team at LexisNexis South Africa Shared Services (Pty) Ltd Company. As a Senior Data Scientist, you will play a key role in driving data-driven decision-making and contributing to the development of innovative solutions.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and lead the development of advanced AI and machine learning models to solve complex business problems
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure AI solutions are aligned with business goals and customer needs
- Build and deploy AI features, perform analytics, and mentor junior data scientists
- Work with product leaders to apply data science solutions and drive business growth
Requirements
- Experience with machine learning algorithms, including deep learning, gradient boosting, and random forests
- Proficiency in coding skills in Python and experience working with large datasets and distributed computing systems
- Knowledge and skills in a senior data scientist position, including experience working with large language models and Transformer-based architectures
- Experience mentoring, training, and acting as a subject matter expert to guide colleagues
