About the Role:

We are seeking an experienced Medical Operations Manager to lead our medical team in Africa or South Africa. As a key member of our Starlite Aviation Group, you will be responsible for overseeing medical services, developing new business initiatives, and ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead the Medical Team: Manage a team of medical personnel, including training, administration, IT, and supply chain functions.
  • Maintain Service Levels: Ensure high-quality medical services are provided to clients and patients.
  • Business Development: Support commercial teams by identifying opportunities, providing bid information, and promoting the Starlite brand.
  • Regulatory Compliance: Maintain adherence to SACAA Part 138 and EURAMI regulations, as well as industry standards.
  • Risk Management: Oversee medical-related occurrences at all Starlite bases.
  • Occupational Health: Develop and manage a robust occupational health management system for all Starlite bases.
  • Medical Budget: Manage the medical budget in line with contract and company requirements.
  • Equipment and Supplies: Oversee equipment and consumables stores, including servicing and stock management.
  • IT and Administration: Manage IT and administration systems, including patient documentation and records.
  • Recruitment: Recruit medical personnel in line with contract requirements and client-specific criteria.
  • Training and Development: Collaborate with crew training managers to develop training programs.

Requirements:

  • Leadership Skills: Strong leadership abilities with experience managing teams in dynamic environments.
  • Communication Skills: Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for effective collaboration.
  • Clinical Experience: Proven clinical experience in emergency medicine, intensive care, or anaesthetics.
  • Education: Bachelor's degree in Medicine, Nursing, Paramedical Sciences, Healthcare Administration, or related field (Master's preferred).
  • Certifications: Valid American Heart Association Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS), or approved equivalent.
  • Language Skills: English fluency required; French advantageous.

Salary Range: R1,200,000 - R1,800,000 per annum (dependent on qualifications and experience)

Travel Requirements: Extensive travel may be required due to operational needs
