SAP Technical Integration Consultant

At LINKFIELDS INNOVATIONS (PTY) LTD, we are seeking a highly skilled SAP Technical Integration Consultant to join our team. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for designing, implementing, and maintaining seamless integrations between various SAP modules and external systems.

Key Responsibilities:
  1. Collaborate with clients to understand their business requirements and integration needs, translating them into technical specifications.
  2. Design and architect end-to-end integration solutions that leverage SAP PI/PO, SAP Cloud Platform Integration (CPI), SAP Data Services, and other relevant SAP technologies.
  3. Develop and configure integration scenarios, including mapping, transformations, routing, and monitoring, to ensure smooth data flow between SAP and non-SAP systems.
  4. Implement custom adapters and interfaces to facilitate communication between SAP and third-party applications, databases, and middleware platforms.
  5. Collaborate with development teams to troubleshoot integration issues, optimize performance, and ensure data integrity and security.
  6. Provide expertise in SAP middleware technologies, such as IDoc, RFC, SOAP, REST, OData, and XML, to support various integration patterns and protocols.
  7. Conduct unit testing, integration testing, and performance testing of integration solutions to validate functionality and performance requirements.
  8. Document technical designs, configurations, and implementation details for knowledge sharing and future reference.
  9. Stay current with the latest SAP integration tools, technologies, and best practices, and recommend innovative solutions to address evolving business needs.
  10. Participate in project planning, estimation, and resource allocation activities to ensure successful project delivery within scope, schedule, and budget constraints.
Qualifications:
  1. Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field.
  2. Minimum of [X] years of experience working as a SAP Technical Integration Consultant, with a focus on designing and implementing SAP integrations.
  3. In-depth knowledge of SAP PI/PO, SAP Cloud Platform Integration (CPI), SAP Data Services, and other SAP middleware technologies.
  4. Proficiency in SAP integration methodologies, standards, and best practices, including ALE, EDI, BAPI, and web services.
  5. Strong programming skills in Java, ABAP, SQL, and/or Groovy scripting for developing custom integration solutions.
  6. Experience with SAP S/4HANA, SAP ERP, SAP CRM, SAP BW/BI, and other SAP modules and applications.
  7. Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and troubleshooting skills, with a keen attention to detail.
  8. Effective communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams and stakeholders.
  9. SAP certifications in relevant areas (e.g., SAP Certified Development Associate – Process Integration with SAP NetWeaver) are preferred.
  10. Experience with Agile/Scrum methodologies and DevOps practices is a plus.
