ROLE OVERVIEW
The Plant Quality Assurance Manager is responsible for overseeing the quality assurance processes within the manufacturing facility. This role involves managing the performance and development of the quality team, ensuring compliance with all quality and food safety standards.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Directing the Site Quality Team's performance and growth.
- Leading incident management initiatives and providing necessary training at the site level.
- Ensuring accountability for all quality and food safety programs implemented in the facility.
- Overseeing the adherence to EMEA, regulatory, third-party, and customer standards.
- Actively participating as a member of the Operations Leadership Team, providing guidance on quality and food safety matters while supporting operational activities.
- Managing the quality budget for the plant, implementing financial controls to monitor expenditures and identify cost-saving opportunities.
- Engaging in the quality community across McCormick EMEA, influencing best practices.
CANDIDATE PROFILE
- Degree in a food-related field.
- Experience in a leadership position within a food manufacturing setting, with a strong background in quality management systems.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively, with excellent communication skills for interacting with various stakeholders.
- Familiarity with SAP is a plus, along with proficiency in PC applications and a keen attention to detail.
- Experience in applying HACCP principles, managing quality systems, and conducting internal audits.
- Certifications such as Lead Assessor, HACCP Level 4, and Yellow Belt in Six Sigma are advantageous.
