Greenhouse Vegetable Crop Specialist Position

At Farm Manager SA, we are seeking a highly skilled Greenhouse Vegetable Crop Specialist to join our team.

This is a key position in our organization responsible for overseeing all aspects of greenhouse vegetable production. The successful candidate will be expected to manage the growth and maintenance of various crops, ensuring optimal yields and product quality.

• Manage and maintain greenhouses, including crop planning, scheduling, and monitoring
• Develop and implement strategies to improve crop yields, reduce waste, and optimize resource usage
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless operations and achieve business objectives
• Analyze data from field trials and develop methodologies to improve horticultural crop performance
• Provide technical sales support to customers and internal stakeholders

• Bachelor's degree in Agronomy, Horticulture, or related field
• Minimum 3 years of experience in greenhouse vegetable production or relevant field
• Hands-on experience with growing vegetables in greenhouses
• Previous nursery management experience an asset
• Excellent knowledge of horticulture crops and ability to analyze trial data
• Technical sales experience and computer literacy required
• Maintenance-oriented mindset essential
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Strong leadership skills and ability to motivate teams
• Valid driver's license and passport required

Farm Manager SA offers a competitive salary package, including:

• Estimated annual salary: R550,000 - R650,000
