This role requires strong leadership and management skills, with the ability to develop and maintain effective relationships with internal stakeholders, including end-users, suppliers, and other business units.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement strategic plans for supply chain management, aligned with organizational goals and objectives.
- Manage and coordinate procurement activities, including needs analysis, bid evaluation, and contract management.
- Ensure compliance with relevant laws, regulations, and policies, including PFMA, National Treasury Regulations, and Prescripts.
- Lead and manage a team of professionals responsible for supply chain management, providing coaching, mentoring, and development opportunities.
- Drive business growth through market research, assessment, and identification of new business opportunities.
Requirements
- Degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, or related field (NQF level 7).
- Postgraduate qualification in SCM, Procurement, or Logistics (NQF level 8) would be advantageous.
- Valid driver's license.
- Affiliation with an SCM professional body with recognized accreditation.
- 5-8 years' experience in supply chain management - operational.
- 3 years in SETA procurement environment would be an advantage.
- 3-4 years in a management role required.
