About the RoleWe are seeking an experienced Business Development and Compliance Specialist to provide comprehensive legal services to our business. The successful candidate will be responsible for advising on all legal aspects of the business, including tender processes, contract negotiation, and dispute resolution.
Main Responsibilities- Provide expert legal advice on all aspects of the business, including contract review and negotiation, dispute resolution, and compliance with applicable laws and regulations.
- Draft and review commercial documents, including contracts and policies, in line with commercial expectations.
- Manage and maintain up-to-date records of legal correspondence, contracts, and other relevant documents.
- Liaise with internal stakeholders, including country management, to ensure effective communication and coordination.
- Identify potential areas of risk and liability, and advise on strategies for avoidance, minimization, or mitigation.
- Assist in the design and delivery of legal training courses on legal topics relevant to the business.
- Bachelor's Degree or equivalent experience/qualification in Law.
- At least 3 years' experience working in a commercial legal role, ideally as an in-house or corporate legal advisor.
- Strong analytical and strategic thinking skills, with the ability to negotiate and settle transactions and disputes.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with internal stakeholders.
- Ability to work under pressure, manage priorities efficiently, and meet tight deadlines.
