Job Title: ICT Senior Application Team Leader

We are seeking an experienced ICT Senior Application Team Leader to lead our team of application developers and drive the delivery of high-quality solutions.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide strategic leadership and direction to the application development team.
  • Collaborate with clients to analyze and specify requirements.
  • Design and implement new solutions.
  • Support and enhance existing solutions.
  • Ensure adherence to agile software development process.
  • Communicate technical strategies and solutions to senior stakeholders.
  • Stay up-to-date with changes in IT technology and market trends.
  • Manage and oversee the roll-out of application and software development strategies and plans.
  • Ensure that application and software development addresses the needs of clients.
  • Develop and present professional proposals and presentations.
  • Orchestrate internal resources and technology offerings to improve client service.
  • Embark on ongoing improvement initiatives to enhance business applications and their integration.
  • Ensure synchronization between business applications, processes, user requirements, and systems.
  • Supervise and control the workflow of the application development area.
  • Ensure the development and enhancement of IT systems and processes.
  • Participate in the IT Application Development Management Team and contribute to the setting of strategic objectives.
  • Be responsible for client relationship management.
  • Collaborate with other Application leads and the Application Development Manager to create strategic goals.
  • Lead the overall strategy and direction for the application development teams.
  • Contribute to the technology vision and planning process.
  • Bridge the silos between development teams and ensure a decrease in fragmented application development.
  • Ensure adherence to the software development life cycle, protocols, and compliance.
  • Oversee and direct the development and implementation of software applications.
  • Ensure timely and accurate delivery of technology products and services.
  • Oversee current system enhancements and manage internal/external application upgrades.
Requirements:
  • B.Sc. or B.Com degree with Computer Science / Information Technology Management Degree.
  • Minimum 7 years of professional software development experience.
  • Solid experience in leading application web, GUI, and mobile developers.
  • Project Management experience or understanding.
  • Financial acumen and ability to keep abreast with current technology.
  • Proven ability to think strategically and solve problems.
  • Ability to foster teamwork and influence relationships.
  • Excellent leadership and network skills.
  • Strong communication and influencing skills.
  • Experience in applying test-driven development and software engineering best practices.
  • Mobile application development (iOS, Mono, Android) would be advantageous.
