As a Senior Phase English Home Language Educator, you will drive student achievement by maintaining high expectations for classroom culture, behavior, and academic growth for all scholars. You will be a content specialist in English language and literacy, equipping scholars with the knowledge and tools required for matriculation and working collaboratively in leading an integrated inquiry-based curriculum.
Responsibilities:
- Plan and deliver academic and clubs lessons.
- Collaborate with grade level and content area partners to develop rigorous, engaging learning experiences.
- Participate in all scheduled professional development sessions.
- Develop and administer formative and termly assessments to track student progress.
- Lead scholar social and emotional development through CQ sessions and reflections.
- Plan and deliver programs to support low-performing scholars or extend high-performing scholars.
- Participate in place-based education and career and tertiary pathways education.
- Develop SPARK culture and implement behavior management strategies.
- Communicate professionally and effectively with colleagues, parents, and other stakeholders.
Qualifications and Criteria:
- English language fluency.
- Completed B.Ed or PGCE degree in English Senior phase or English Home Language FET.
- SACE registration.
- Clear/Clean criminal record.
