Job Description:

We are seeking a skilled Learning and Development Manager to join our team at MECS Africa. This is a challenging opportunity for a result-driven professional who wants to drive employee growth and development in the automotive industry.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Develop and Implement L&D Strategies: Create and execute comprehensive L&D plans that align with the company's goals and objectives.
  2. Plan and Deliver Training Programs: Design and deliver training programs that meet the needs of employees at all levels, from entry-level to senior management.
  3. Leverage Technology for Seamless Learning: Utilize e-learning, mobile learning, and other digital tools to create a seamless learning experience for employees.
  4. Collaborate with Subject Matter Experts: Partner with experts to develop relevant, fit-for-purpose e-learning programs that address critical business skills.
  5. Build Strategic Networks: Establish relationships with thought leaders and subject matter experts through social media and conferences to stay up-to-date on best practices and trends in L&D.
  6. Oversee HR Functions: Manage HR functions, including Career Management, Performance Management, Employment Equity, and Bursaries.
  7. Design Performance Management Frameworks: Develop standards and policies for Performance Management, ensuring alignment with company goals and objectives.

Requirements:

  • B Com Degree in Business Management or Human Resources;
  • Honours Degree in Business Management or Human Resources;
  • Registration with SABPP would be advantageous;
  • At least 5-8 years of experience as an HR/Learning and Development Manager with proven exposure and experience at a Senior Level;
  • 2-3 years' experience in Digital Learning Solutions and e-learning platforms;
  • Solid knowledge and experience of SETA requirements, particularly MERSETA/W&RSETA;
  • Sound understanding of Workplace Skills Plans and Annual Training Reports;
  • Knowledge and experience in BBBEE scorecard perspective and compilation thereof specifically pertaining to Skills Development;
  • Experience with running accredited programs;
  • Experience with onsite Training academy management would be an added advantage;
