Taxation Expert Job Description

This role requires a highly skilled Taxation Expert to provide expert advice to clients on taxation matters. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in taxation and accounting, with the ability to interpret and apply complex tax laws.

The primary responsibilities of this role include VAT calculations, monthly management accounts, and drafting of annual financial statements. Additionally, the successful candidate will be responsible for providing tax advice to clients and addressing SARS queries.

To be considered for this role, applicants must have a completed Accounting Degree and SAICA, SAIPA, SAIBA, or SAIT accreditation. Prior experience in taxation is preferred, particularly with Sage and CaseWare software.

Key Tasks and Responsibilities
  • VAT calculations and submissions
  • Monthly management accounts
  • Drafting of Annual Financial Statements
  • Income tax, provisional tax and VAT calculations and submissions
  • Providing tax advice to clients
  • Dealing with management accounts
  • SARS queries
  • Liaising with existing clients and development of new clients
Required Qualifications and Experience
  • Completed Accounting Degree
  • SAICA, SAIPA, SAIBA, or SAIT accreditation is essential
  • 2 to 4 years taxation experience is preferred
  • Sage and CaseWare experience is beneficial
