Job Summary:

The successful candidate will be responsible for identifying, developing, and securing new business opportunities within the agricultural sector. You will work closely with farmers, landowners, and other stakeholders to design and implement innovative solar solutions that enhance agricultural operations and contribute to a sustainable future.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Conduct market research to stay updated on current industry trends in agriculture.
  • Develop a sales strategy to generate market-qualified leads and secure new solar agriculture projects.
  • Work with project teams to assess the technical and financial feasibility of solar projects for agricultural clients.
  • Negotiate and close contracts with clients.
  • Maintain and cultivate strong relationships with existing and new clients, providing ongoing support and ensuring customer satisfaction.
  • Identify tender opportunities, bid preparation, and coordination to ensure compliance with bid requirements.
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree in business administration, engineering, environmental science, or a related field.
  • Minimum 3 years of experience in business development or a similar role.
  • Proven track record of meeting sales targets and securing new business opportunities.
  • Knowledge of solar PV technology and its applications in agriculture.
Skills Overview:
  • Good understanding of renewable energy project development processes.
  • Good understanding of bid requirements for the solar energy industry.
  • Ability to travel within and out of South Africa.
