Warehouse and Distribution Supervisor Opportunity

We are seeking an experienced Warehouse and Distribution Supervisor to join our team at Intercon Recruitment. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing the receiving and distribution of warehouse operations, ensuring the safety and security of warehouse operations and contents, and providing excellent customer service.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage the receipt and distribution of warehouse operations, ensuring timely and accurate delivery of goods.
  • Monitor and maintain the security of warehouse operations and contents, including the implementation of health and safety protocols.
  • Provide exceptional customer service, responding to queries and complaints in a professional and timely manner.
  • Manage the efficient delivery of goods, ensuring that deadlines are met and customer satisfaction is maintained.
  • Supervise and manage warehouse and distribution staff, providing guidance and support as needed.
  • Perform HR functions, including disciplinary procedures and staff development.
  • Motivate and encourage teamwork within the workforce, promoting a positive and productive work environment.
  • Oversee the maintenance of fleet and warehouse equipment, ensuring that all vehicles and equipment are in good working order.
  • Manage and coordinate all projects, both on-site and off-site, ensuring that deadlines are met and quality standards are maintained.
  • Interact and communicate with the sales department, providing support and guidance as needed.
  • Implement policies and procedures, including the development and maintenance of standard operating procedures (SOPs).
  • Conduct monthly stock takes and report on all variances, ensuring that inventory levels are accurate and up-to-date.
  • Process monthly reports, including statistics and WMS/Syspro data.
  • Utilize WMS and Syspro to manage stock holdings and variances, ensuring that inventory levels are accurate and up-to-date.
  • Interact and deal with various suppliers, ensuring that all transactions are conducted in a professional and timely manner.
  • Manage and control Biotime, ensuring that all systems are functioning correctly and efficiently.
  • Interview prospective warehouse and distribution employees, making recommendations on persons to be employed.
  • Implement health and safety protocols, ensuring that all employees are aware of and comply with safety procedures.
  • Interact with directors on various projects and day-to-day operations, providing support and guidance as needed.
  • Ensure that the company image is upheld, promoting a positive and professional image at all times.

Requirements:

  • 23 years of experience as a Warehouse and Distribution Supervisor.
  • Liquor industry experience will be an advantage.
  • Computer knowledge, including Syspro experience, will be an advantage.

Benefits:

Basic salary negotiable depending on experience, plus a provident fund of 7.5% of CTC.
