At FirstRand Bank Limited, we're seeking a highly skilled Business Intelligence Solution Architect to join our team. This role offers a competitive salary of R850,000 - R1,200,000 per annum, commensurate with experience and qualifications.

As a Business Intelligence Solution Architect, you will design, develop, and maintain sourcing data and loading it into the data warehouse. Your expertise will drive adoption and consumption of self-service insights and reporting through the creation of strategy-aligned, stakeholder-responsive multi-dimensional insight tools, including PowerBI, cubes, and other relevant technologies.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Delivering customer experience excellence in service delivery, aligned with organisational values and service standards.
  • Building working relationships across teams and functional lines to enhance work delivery, collaboration, and innovation.
  • Creating solutions to meet customer demands and delivering internal and external customer service excellence through quality service standards.
  • Providing input into tactical strategies, ensuring effective delivery of BI solutions aligned to business requirements and strategic objectives.
  • Managing existing reports/dashboards and providing insights for clients.
  • Driving business profitability through effective delivery of Business Intelligence solutions, focusing on time management and cost.
  • Ensuring ongoing efficiencies by promoting a culture of sharing and leveraging tools built by other D&A teams.
  • Managing existing reports/dashboards through ongoing production of MIS outputs, ensuring consistent information supply.
  • Providing additional insight into information produced for clients, enhancing business efficiencies.
  • Interpreting source-to-target mapping to extract data from various sources and converting data into meaningful information stored in a data warehouse.
  • Liaising with stakeholders to provide input into assigned projects, in line with business requirements and specifications.
  • Developing business solutions based on source-to-target mapping and business requirements specifications.
  • Performing unit testing and ensuring development and continuous value-add improvement to operational processes.
  • Participating in planned activities for personal development and nurture collaborative relationships across areas of specialisation.

Required qualifications include a relevant Diploma in Information Technology, Computer Science, Engineering, or Business Analysis. Key skills include advanced TSQL, SSIS, SSAS, PowerBI, Teradata, AbInitio, Python, Hive, and database management.
