We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Emergency Response Medical Assistant to join our team. This role involves attending to emergency calls and providing basic medical care in line with scope of practice.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Ensure operational readiness for emergency calls by maintaining high levels of alertness and awareness at all times.
  • Administer patient care in accordance with established clinical guidelines and protocols, ensuring the highest standards of quality and compassion.
  • Maintain a positive public image for ER24 through effective communication, empathy, and professionalism.

Requirements:

  • Essential: Basic Ambulance Assistant Certificate, 6-12 months of road BLS experience.
  • Desirable: Successful completion of training related to Clinical Practice Guidelines published by the Health Professions Council of South Africa, 2 years of road BLS experience.

Preferred Skills and Knowledge:

  • Facilities management and navigation, including travel routes and demographical areas.
  • Proficiency in HPCSA guidelines and scope of practice.
  • Application of best practices in emergency medical services.
  • Proficient in EMS environment and procedures.
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with proficiency in the English language.
  • Patient Report Forms management and administration.

Compensation Package:

We offer a competitive salary of R250,000 per annum, commensurate with experience, as well as opportunities for professional growth and development within a dynamic and supportive team environment.
