Job Title: Payroll Specialist

We are seeking a highly skilled Payroll Specialist to join our team at Red Ember Recruitment PTY Ltd. As a Payroll Specialist, you will be responsible for processing payrolls, ensuring compliance with legislative requirements, and building and maintaining sustainable client relationships.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Process payrolls, including payroll preparation, interpretation, and application of statutory changes/requirements.
  • Ensure compliance with internal systems and processes, implementing payroll best practices, and mitigating potential risks to clients.
  • Contribute to the financial performance of the company through brand building, creating a pleasing customer experience through efficient and effective service delivery.
  • Build and maintain client relationships by treating clients with respect and professionalism.
Requirements:
  • Diploma/degree in commerce/human resources or any related qualification/experience.
  • 3-5 years payroll experience or experience as an HRIS practitioner with payroll systems experience (Sage300 and/or Premier).
  • Proficiency in Excel.
  • Knowledge of SA payroll tax legislation and basic knowledge of SA labour legislation.
  • Ability to work on your own, taking ownership, and ability to work under pressure.

Proficient in Excel/MS Office. Experience of Sage 300 People and/or Premier. Batch processing of salaries. Good analytical and Excel skills with excellent attention to detail. Have a demonstrable energy, flexibility, proactivity, and a can-do attitude. Proven ability of working to a high standard while multi-tasking, working accurately to deadlines.
