Job Title: Chief Solutions Architect

About the Role:

Galeboe Professional Services is seeking a highly skilled Chief Solutions Architect to join our team. As a key member of our organization, you will be responsible for designing and implementing end-to-end information security architecture for technology and business solutions.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Develop and assemble artefacts with enterprise architects, including technologies, information and application artefacts, related metadata, policies, procedures, standards, principals, objectives, and cybersecurity policies and procedures.
  2. Provide guidance to medium size/large complexity or large size moderate complexity projects, and consult with domain architects and peers involved in implementation projects.
  3. Maintain, configure, and troubleshoot cybersecurity systems, coordinate cybersecurity audits, and communicate results.
  4. Pursue necessary changes for critical tasks identified from audits, and develop, document, and communicate cybersecurity policies and procedures.
  5. Work closely with Enterprise Architects, other Domain Architects, and Security Specialists to ensure adequate security solutions across all IT systems and platforms.
  6. Research, design, and advocate for new technologies, architectures, and security products that support security requirements for the enterprise and its stakeholders.
  7. Serve as a security expert in application development, database design, network, and platform (operating system) efforts, and ensure project teams comply with enterprise security architecture principles, IT security policies, standards, industry regulations, and best practices.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor of Science in Information Technology or relevant degree related to IT or System Engineering, NQF Level 6.
  • Programming languages such as C++, Java, Ruby, Go, and/or PowerShell.
  • Firewall certification (e.g., CCSE, PCNSE, NSE4 or higher, Juniper Firewalls, F5, Sophos, Cisco ASA, CCNP or higher).
  • SIEM certification and/or experience in Splunk, ArcSight, Q-Radar, Rapid7, Anomali, Crowdstrike EDR, Qualys, Nessus, or McAfee.

Desirable Qualifications:

  • Outsourcing model experience (6-8 years).
