Job Title: Maintenance Manager

Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled Maintenance Manager to oversee all maintenance and construction activities related to residential properties and land owned by the Bothongo Group. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing maintenance inventory, maintaining up-to-date records of service level agreements (SLAs) and contractors, and ensuring that all job cards and maintenance requests are addressed in a timely and efficient manner.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Maintenance Management:
    • Oversight of all maintenance activities for residential properties and land owned by the Group.
    • Collaboration with the hospitality maintenance manager on specific projects within the reserves.
    • Ensuring that all job cards and maintenance requests are addressed in a timely and efficient manner.
  • Construction Management:
    • Management and facilitation of all building and construction projects within the group, including those on the reserves.
    • Development of project plans, timelines, and budgets, and ensuring adherence to these plans.
    • Coordination with architects, engineers, and contractors to ensure projects meet quality standards and are completed on time.
  • Inventory Management:
    • Maintenance and management of all maintenance inventory.
    • Ensuring that all necessary materials and equipment are available and in good working condition.
    • Monitoring inventory levels and reordering supplies as needed.
  • Contractor and SLA Management:
    • Establishment and maintenance of relationships with contractors and vendors.
    • Development, negotiation, and management of service level agreements (SLAs) with contractors and service providers.
    • Keeping an updated list of all SLAs and contractors related to maintenance and construction.
  • Reporting and Documentation:
    • Preparation of regular reports on maintenance and construction activities, including progress updates, budget status, and any issues encountered.
    • Maintenance of accurate and up-to-date documentation of all projects, inventory, and SLAs.
  • Liaison and Coordination:
    • Acting as the primary point of contact for all maintenance and construction-related activities within the Group.
    • Coordination with internal and external stakeholders to ensure smooth project execution.
    • Liaising with the Hospitality Maintenance Manager on specific reserve projects to ensure proper alignment and execution of tasks.

  • Project Completion Rate:
    • Percentage of projects completed on time and within budget.
  • Maintenance Request Turnaround Time:
    • Average time taken to address and resolve maintenance requests.
  • Inventory Accuracy:
    • Accuracy of inventory records and timely reordering of supplies.
  • SLA Compliance:
    • Percentage of contractors and service providers meeting SLA requirements.
  • Cost Management:
    • Adherence to budget constraints for maintenance and construction projects.
  • Stakeholder Satisfaction:
    • Feedback from internal and external stakeholders on the quality and timeliness of maintenance and construction services.
