E-Merge, a dynamic company focused on engineering smart solutions that give power and tech to integrate with all energy tariffs. This integration enables drivers to charge at the cheapest and greenest times available.

As an Intermediate Data Scientist at E-Merge, you will be accountable for designing scalable, high-performance data platforms for analytics, AI/ML pipelines, and batch/real-time processing. Key responsibilities include:

  • Developing expertise in data modelling strategies, governance, and security best practices to ensure efficient data flow.
  • Proficiency in Snowflake, PostgreSQL, or similar databases, including schema design, query optimization, and performance tuning.
  • Experience with vector databases and integrating vector embeddings.
  • Building and managing ETL/ELT pipelines for large-scale data ingestion and transformation.
  • Deploying, fine-tuning, and integrating AI models into data platforms.
  • Understanding of cloud services, particularly in data storage, compute, and AI/ML integrations.

To succeed in this role, you will need:

  • A Bachelors degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
  • 8+ years hands-on experience.
  • Familiarity with DBT or similar data transformation tools.
  • Understanding of retrieval-augmented generation (RAG) workflows.
  • Familiarity with infrastructure-as-code (e.g., Terraform) and CI/CD pipelines for automated deployments.
