**Job Title:** Technical Accounting Specialist

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Technical Accounting Specialist to join our team at TFG Finance and Advisory.

About the Role:

The successful candidate will be responsible for providing technical accounting expertise in the areas of lease accounting, financial reporting, and regulatory compliance. This role requires strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and excellent communication skills.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide technical accounting guidance on IFRS 16 property accounting and SAP RE-FX processing.
  • Reconcile RE-FX IFRS 16 clearing, liability, asset accounts, and income statement accounts on a monthly basis.
  • Coach and train the lease administration team on lease accounting procedures.
  • Perform and review complex IFRS 2 calculations and post-related journal entries.
  • Review IFRS2 transactions before posting into SAP.
  • Perform IFRS2 and treasury share reconciliations.
  • Assist with bank reconciliations and provide audit deliverables.
  • Support the preparation of Group monthly deliverables, including consolidation, and month-end close process.
  • Apply reasonability checks and analysis to monthly reconciliations for all TFG entities.

Requirements:

  • CA(SA) qualification required.
  • Knowledge of SAP and SAP RE (advantage).
  • 2-4 years post-qualification and accounting experience (advantage).
  • Retail experience (advantage).
  • Excellent statutory and reporting standards and regulations knowledge required.

Salary: R850,000 - R1,050,000 per annum, depending on experience.

Location: Cape Town.
