Key Responsibilities:

Anesthesia Services: Administer anesthesia for surgical procedures in accordance with established protocols and patient needs, ensuring patient safety and appropriate recovery.
Emergency Department Cover (Optional): Provide daytime cover for the emergency department as needed, assessing and managing urgent medical cases, and collaborating with multidisciplinary teams to ensure comprehensive patient care.
Clinical Excellence: Uphold high standards of clinical practice and patient safety, ensuring accurate and timely documentation of patient records and procedural details, and participating in continuous professional development activities to stay updated with latest medical advancements.
Team Collaboration: Work closely with surgeons, nurses, and other healthcare professionals to optimize patient outcomes, contributing to multidisciplinary meetings and case discussions.

Qualifications and Experience:

Medical degree from a recognized institution.
Registered with the Health Professions Council of South Africa (HPCSA) as a General Practitioner.
Diploma in Anesthesia (or equivalent qualification) recognized by HPCSA.
Proven experience in providing anesthesia services in a hospital setting, preferably in a private hospital environment.
Experience or willingness to cover emergency department shifts is advantageous.
