Job Title: Cloud Database Architect

About the Role:

We are seeking a highly skilled Cloud Database Architect to join our team at Datafin Recruitment. As a Cloud Database Architect, you will be responsible for designing and implementing cloud-based databases that are scalable, secure, and efficient.

Responsibilities:

* Design and implement BigQuery databases to organize and store data optimally
* Develop and maintain ETL processes to support data ingestion, transformation, and integration from various data sources
* Build and maintain automated data pipelines to transform data to support seamless integration across different platforms
* Work with data engineering teams to design efficient data architectures, troubleshoot issues, and improve database performance

Requirements:

* Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Data Science, Information Systems, or a related field
* Minimum of 3 years of experience as a Database Developer, Data Engineer, or similar role with a focus on cloud-based data solutions
* Proficient in managing and optimizing data in BigQuery with comprehensive GCP experience
* Advanced skills in writing and optimizing complex SQL queries
* Skilled in setting up API connections to retrieve data from external sources, handling API calls, and managing authentication

Preferred Qualifications:

* Experience with additional GCP services such as Google Cloud Storage, Cloud Functions, or Dataflow
* Proficiency with data visualization platforms like Tableau or Looker
* Familiarity with data warehouse architecture and best practices
