Job Title: NIMDR TB-Nurse Coordinator

At the Institute of Health Programs and Systems (IHPS), we are seeking a highly skilled and experienced NIMDR TB-Nurse Coordinator to join our team. This is a unique opportunity to make a meaningful impact in the field of tuberculosis treatment and management.

Job Summary

The NIMDR TB-Nurse Coordinator will be responsible for supporting and strengthening the overall implementation and management of the MDR-TB program within a district. This includes mentoring NIMDR-TB staff, coordinating skills and knowledge transfer, and ensuring quality and optimal NIMDR-TB service delivery.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide clinical support to trained NIMDR-TB staff
  • Conduct clinical assessments and folder audits on patient files
  • Assist with remedial action plans and quality assurance
  • Strengthen and support active TB case finding
  • Coordinate activities with health facilities for continuum of care
Requirements
  • Bachelor of Clinical Medical Practice (BCMP) degree or Professional nurse with NQF 7 qualification in Primary Health Care (PHC) plus dispensing license
  • Minimum of three years' practical experience working in DR-TB units
  • Proven experience in treatment and management of DR-TB care
