TB Nurse Coordinator

The Institute of Health Programs and Systems (IHPS) is a South African non-profit company (NPC) that aims to strengthen health and development systems through program implementation and partnerships. We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced TB Nurse Coordinator to join our team.

The TB Nurse Coordinator will play a critical role in supporting and strengthening the implementation and management of the MDR-TB program within a district. The successful candidate will be responsible for mentoring NIMDR-TB staff, coordinating continued NIMDR-TB skills and knowledge transfer, and ensuring quality and optimal NIMDR-TB service delivery.

• Provide clinical support to trained NIMDR-TB staff
• Conduct clinical assessments and folder audits on patient files
• Assist with remedial action plans and quality assurance
• Strengthen and support active TB case finding
• Coordinate activities with health facilities to ensure continuum of care

• Bachelor of Clinical Medical Practice (BCMP) degree or Professional nurse with NQF 7 qualification in Primary Health Care (PHC) plus dispensing license
• Minimum of three years' practical experience working in DR-TB units
• Proven experience in treatment and management of DR-TB care
• Program management experience in non-profit and knowledge of current DR-TB clinical practices
