Job Responsibilities

The primary purpose of this role is to perform routine analytical techniques related to established Sample Preparation and Fire Assay procedures.

  • Receive samples with security guards and verify seal numbers on trunks with those on the Way Bill.
  • Perform sorting and boxing of samples upon receipt.
  • Collect samples from Sample Receiving for weighing.
  • Conduct weighing, drying, and crushing of samples according to client instructions.
  • Carry out splitting, pulverizing, and boxing of samples in Sample Prep and conduct screen checks.
  • Screen samples for PSA.
  • Discard samples as required.
  • Execute weighing, fluxing, fusion, and cupelling processes within Fire Assay.
  • Discard samples to return to clients.
  • Maintain punctuality at all times.
  • Ensure customer requirements are met regarding turnaround time commitments.
