Job Summary

We are seeking a highly qualified and experienced Visual Arts Theoretician to join our team at HR Genie. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing and developing theoretical and practice-based research endeavors at various levels within the Department of Visual Arts.

Key Responsibilities
  • Co-develop, manage, and deliver theoretical modules at undergraduate, Honours, Masters, and Doctoral levels.
  • Co-develop and deliver lectures in Visual Studies and Interdisciplinary Studies modules at undergraduate and postgraduate levels.
  • Supervise postgraduate students at Honours, Masters, and Doctoral levels.
  • Conduct research and contribute to the growth of the Department's creative and theoretical output portfolio by sustaining and generating accredited academic publications.
  • Perform a pivotal role in underpinning the process of theoretical development, especially at introductory/first year levels of learning and teaching.
Requirements
  • Required minimum education and experience: Doctorate Degree in the relevant discipline and extensive experience and expertise.
  • Minimum 3-7 years of experience in teaching, lecturing, or research experience in the relevant field or discipline, with at least five years of postgraduate teaching, research, and engagement experience.
