The ideal candidate will have a strong background in cost accounting, with experience in a FMCG/production/manufacturing and/or financial services sector. Advanced Excel knowledge and experience with server reporting services report builder are essential. A strong demonstrated knowledge of statistics and ability to design and implement useful reporting tools to assist decision-making processes are also required.

Key Responsibilities
  • Manage complete stock take function, ensuring accuracy and completeness
  • Conduct stock take planning and post-mortem feedback with relevant departments
  • Ensure stock takes are conducted according to standard operating procedures (SOP)
  • Verify stock takes and ensure accuracy and completeness
  • Analyze variances and provide recommendations for improvement
  • Identify areas of risk and improve processes
  • Manage and report on stock aging and write-offs
Requirements
  • Grade 12 qualification
  • B. Com (Accounting or Financial Management) degree
  • Minimum 3 years' experience in cost accounting in a FMCG/production/manufacturing and/or financial services sector
  • Advanced Excel knowledge
  • Experience with server reporting services report builder
  • Strong knowledge of statistics and data interpretation
