About You

We are looking for a highly motivated and experienced Utilities Technician who possesses a strong background in electrical and mechanical maintenance. The ideal candidate will have completed an electrical or millwright trade test and have at least 5 years of experience in electrical and mechanical maintenance, preferably in a utilities setting.

Required Qualifications:

  • Electrical or millwright trade test successfully completed.
  • 5+ years of experience in electrical and mechanical maintenance, preferably in a utilities setting.
  • Installation of electrical boxes, DB Boards, other enclosures, conduits (pipes, tubing, trunking), ground leads, and connecting power to different equipment/machinery.
  • Performing maintenance and identifying maintenance requirements on electrical equipment.
  • Fault finding.
  • Ensuring that preventative maintenance is executed according to schedule.
  • Assisting with installation and commissioning of new equipment.
  • Must adhere to the relevant electrical codes, procedures & safety policies.
  • Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and electronic schematics.
  • Proficiency in troubleshooting and repairing complex mechanical and electrical systems.
  • Experience with computerized maintenance management systems (CMMS).
