Job Overview:

The IT and Facilities Assistant will be responsible for providing technical support, maintaining computer equipment, and ensuring the smooth operation of our facilities. This role requires excellent problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work well in a team.

Main Responsibilities:

  1. Computer Equipment Maintenance: Install, configure, and troubleshoot computer hardware and software
  2. Network Maintenance: Run new cables, troubleshoot network issues, and set up Wi-Fi on devices
  3. Supply Management: Order consumables for printers, refill ink tank printers, and maintain inventory
  4. End User Support: Assist employees with login problems, Microsoft Office issues, and setting up printers
  5. Telephone System Maintenance: Program portable DECT phones, troubleshoot issues, and call in technicians when necessary
  6. Facilities Maintenance: Perform basic electrical, lighting, and plumbing maintenance, as well as waste management

Requirements:

  • Matric qualification
  • Valid driver's license
  • Basic knowledge of computer systems, printers, and network devices
