Job Description

The Shared Services Administrator will be responsible for:

  • Managing the company's cashbook, including downloading and capturing daily bank statements, reconciling cashbooks weekly, and calculating forex and commission on batches;
  • Monitoring and maintaining creditor and debtor control, processing local and foreign payments and reconciliations, handling returns and discrepancies by raising and resolving queries, and processing invoices, credit notes, and intercompany receivables;
  • Overseeing the full revenue cycle, from invoicing to debtor collections, ensuring timely collections, identifying delays, and allocating incoming funds;
  • Maintaining accurate records and ensuring compliance with company standards;
  • Fostering and maintaining strong client relationships.

Required Skills and Qualifications

To be considered for this role, candidates must have:

  • A Grade 12 certificate with Mathematics;
  • An NQF5 or higher accounting qualification (or currently pursuing);
  • Reconciliation expertise;
  • At least 1 year of practical experience in accounts payable, receivable, and cashbook (including multi-currency transactions);
  • Strong financial and accounting skills;
  • Proficiency in financial software (Excel, Accpac, and other accounting packages);
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities;
  • Ability to work efficiently under pressure and meet deadlines;
  • Self-motivation and delivery-focused; and
  • High attention to detail and accuracy.
