Network Contracting is a fintech concern seeking an experienced Financial Operations Specialist to join their diverse compliance team on a 3-month contract basis. The ideal candidate will be a self-starter with the ability to manage the debtors function, optimising cash flow, reducing financial risk, and maintaining positive relationships with customers through effective credit management.

The key responsibilities for this role will include:

  • Onboarding customers involves sending new clients through a comprehensive onboarding process
  • Clean up accounts by generating invoices and credit notes for rounding discrepancies
  • Bad debts write off: compiling all accounts due for write-off and submitting them for approval
  • Overdue account management
  • VPS recons
  • Invoicing and Billing: ensuring accurate invoice generation and timely dispatch to customers
  • Debt Collection: following up on outstanding payments and ensuring timely collection
  • Reconciliation: matching payments received with invoices and resolving discrepancies
  • Credit Control: assessing customer creditworthiness and managing credit limits
  • Reporting: preparing reports on outstanding debts, payment trends, and potential bad debts
  • Customer Relations: communicating with clients regarding payments, disputes, and account statements

Given the fast-paced nature of this role, extensive experience in similar environments is essential.

The requirements are as follows:

  • Qualification: BCom Finance (non-negotiable)

Experience:

  • At least 3 years of experience in a similar environment
  • Strong administrative skills with knowledge of administrative procedures and systems
  • Basic understanding of credit management processes

Skills Required:

  • Excellent analytical and communication skills
  • Ownership and accountability
