As a key member of our finance department, you will play a vital role in shaping our credit management strategy and ensuring the smooth operation of our financial processes.

Job Description

  • We are looking for a seasoned National Credit Manager with extensive experience in managing and developing all credit functions and indirect business activities within assigned regions. You will be responsible for evaluating creditworthiness, determining credit limits, approving or declining credit applications, and negotiating terms with customers.
  • You will also monitor customer accounts, implement collection strategies, and coordinate with collection agencies or legal counsel when necessary. Your expertise in risk assessment, financial analysis, and credit evaluation techniques will be essential in identifying potential credit risks and exposure.
  • Furthermore, you will build and maintain positive relationships with customers, sales teams, and other stakeholders to foster collaboration and resolve credit-related issues effectively.
  • Your excellent analytical skills, strong negotiation skills, and solid interpersonal skills will enable you to work under pressure and make informed decisions.

Required Skills and Qualifications

  • A minimum of 7 years' experience in credit management is required, preferably in the auto finance industry. A Legal or Finance tertiary qualification (LLB or BCom Law) is preferred.
  • You must have a matric certification and possess excellent knowledge of credit scoring models, scorecards, and risk assessment methodologies.
  • Strong Microsoft Excel skills, including pivot tables, are essential for data analysis and reporting.
