Financial Director Job Description

Curiska is seeking a highly skilled Financial Director to oversee all financial and operational aspects of the organization. The successful candidate will drive the organization's financial and operational strategy and planning, ensuring compliance with legal requirements, policy, and procedure.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Manage the full finance function, including financial planning, budgeting, and forecasting.
  • Develop and manage divisional budgets, ensuring alignment with organizational goals.
  • Oversee the annual audit process, ensuring accuracy and compliance.
  • Prepare and present financial reports to the Board, providing strategic insights and recommendations.
  • Develop financial models to support business expansion and growth initiatives.
  • Produce and distribute monthly management reports, highlighting key financial metrics and trends.
  • Maintain control over all financial transactions, ensuring liquidity and cash flow management.
  • Design and implement financial models to support venture and expansion initiatives.
  • Present financial models and advise on suitable options, ensuring alignment with organizational goals.
  • Manage cash flow and cash spend on projects, ensuring efficient resource allocation.
  • Manage the valuation of new investment opportunities, ensuring sound financial decision-making.
  • Provide financial strategic guidance, supporting business growth and development.
  • Oversee the organization's accounting and finance systems, ensuring accuracy and compliance.
  • Contract negotiations, ensuring favorable terms and conditions.
  • Develop business plans, aligning with organizational goals and objectives.
  • Build credibility, relationships, and maintain communication mechanisms with financial staff, senior executives, and external stakeholders.
  • Manage a team of staff involved with day-to-day financial tasks, ensuring efficient operations.
  • Group secretarial duties, ensuring administrative support.
  • Oversee the day-to-day operations of the business, ensuring alignment with organizational goals.
Requirements:
  • Qualified CA (Chartered Accountant) - Not negotiable.
  • Minimum 5 years' experience in a similar role, with a strong track record of financial management and leadership.
  • Broad knowledge of accounting and business principles, with a strong understanding of financial regulations and compliance.
