Key Responsibilities:
  • Supervise and manage a team of fraud investigators, providing guidance and support to ensure successful investigations.
  • Conduct detailed investigations into suspected fraudulent activities, analyzing evidence and gathering information to identify root causes.
  • Collaborate with other departments, such as finance and risk management, to gather evidence and information, and to develop effective fraud prevention strategies.
  • Prepare comprehensive reports on investigation findings, presenting recommendations to senior management to prevent future incidents.
  • Develop and implement fraud prevention strategies, working closely with the management team to ensure their effectiveness.
  • Provide training and guidance to staff on fraud detection and prevention, ensuring they have the necessary skills to identify and report suspicious activities.
  • Maintain up-to-date knowledge of industry trends and applicable laws, staying ahead of emerging threats and regulatory requirements.
  • Communicate findings and recommendations to senior management, ensuring that all stakeholders are informed and aligned with the company's risk management strategy.
  • Participate in audits and compliance reviews, ensuring that the company's internal controls and procedures are effective in preventing and detecting fraud.
Requirements:
  • Grade 12
  • Certificate/Diploma in Fraud Investigation
  • PSIRA Grade A Certificate
  • 5 years' experience as a Fraud Investigator within the mining industry
  • Working knowledge of SAPS and the judicial process
  • Valid Drivers' License
