About the Job:
The Labour Management Coordinator will be responsible for managing labour disputes, ensuring compliance with labour laws, and promoting a positive work environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Coordinate labour relations and ensure compliance with labour laws.
- Develop and maintain effective labour management procedures.
- Identify and address labour disputes and grievances efficiently.
- Monitor IR standards and provide regular reports/analyses.
- Recommend policies aligned with business objectives and investigate their implementation.
- Stay updated on labour trends and communicate them to business leaders.
- Foster a positive work environment for efficient company operations.
- Ensure open communication between union officials, employees, and employer.
- Participate in dispute resolution mechanisms (CCMA, Bargaining Council, Labour Courts).
- Handle employee complaints, manage grievance procedures, and facilitate counselling.
- Resolve complex labour management issues efficiently.
- Analyse labour data to improve people programs and policies.
- Contribute to projects focused on continuous improvement related to shift patterns and working hours.
Education, Experience, and Competencies Required:
- Degree in HR or related field.
- Minimum 5 years' experience in Industrial Relations within manufacturing/factory industry.
- Strong understanding of labour laws and regulations.
- Excellent negotiation and problem-solving skills.
