About the Job:

The Labour Management Coordinator will be responsible for managing labour disputes, ensuring compliance with labour laws, and promoting a positive work environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Coordinate labour relations and ensure compliance with labour laws.
  • Develop and maintain effective labour management procedures.
  • Identify and address labour disputes and grievances efficiently.
  • Monitor IR standards and provide regular reports/analyses.
  • Recommend policies aligned with business objectives and investigate their implementation.
  • Stay updated on labour trends and communicate them to business leaders.
  • Foster a positive work environment for efficient company operations.
  • Ensure open communication between union officials, employees, and employer.
  • Participate in dispute resolution mechanisms (CCMA, Bargaining Council, Labour Courts).
  • Handle employee complaints, manage grievance procedures, and facilitate counselling.
  • Resolve complex labour management issues efficiently.
  • Analyse labour data to improve people programs and policies.
  • Contribute to projects focused on continuous improvement related to shift patterns and working hours.

Education, Experience, and Competencies Required:

  • Degree in HR or related field.
  • Minimum 5 years' experience in Industrial Relations within manufacturing/factory industry.
  • Strong understanding of labour laws and regulations.
  • Excellent negotiation and problem-solving skills.
