Solar PV Project Manager Job Description

Hire Resolve's client, a leading renewable energy company, is seeking a skilled Solar PV Project Manager to oversee the delivery of solar photovoltaic projects in Johannesburg or Cape Town.

Key Responsibilities
  • Manage project budgets and ensure timely updates for weekly reporting
  • Develop and implement project schedules
  • Prepare and deliver project reports
  • Develop and manage project scopes of work
  • Oversee project contracts and logistics
  • Ensure project equipment ordering and installation quality control
  • Lead project commissioning and health and safety initiatives
  • Liaise with clients and manage technician and subcontractor relationships
  • Assess and accept engineering designs and develop solar PV energy systems
  • Address operations and maintenance issues on all sites under SLA with NSE
  • Develop department tools and documents and deliver project handover documents to clients
  • Ensure compliance with ISO9001 and ISO45001 standards during construction
  • Provide feedback on project learnings to the Engineering Department for continual improvement
Requirements
  • N.Dip Electrical, Mechanical, Electro-Mechanical, Civil, or Structural Engineering qualification
  • Previous experience in managing solar PV projects
  • Knowledge of solar PV technologies, electrical systems, and industry best practices
  • Strong project management skills, including planning, budgeting, and resource allocation
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work effectively in a team-oriented environment
  • Willingness to travel occasionally to project sites
