Job Title: Financial Manager

Arvo is seeking a highly skilled Financial Manager to join our team in Century City, Cape Town. As a key member of our financial team, you will play a crucial role in supporting the company's objectives by delivering accurate, reliable, and timely financial reports.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Financial Reporting & Management:
    • Prepare comprehensive financial statements, including income statements, balance sheets, and cash flow statements.
    • Process monthly cost of sales, reconcile stock levels, and analyze financial data to identify trends and areas for improvement.
    • Compile commission reports, profit shares, royalty declarations, and manage foreign payments to ensure accurate and timely financial reporting.
    • Track sales and sponsorship profitability to inform business decisions.
  • Budgeting & Forecasting:
    • Coordinate annual budgets and monthly forecasts to ensure alignment with business objectives.
    • Provide variance analysis, develop financial models, and support business growth through data-driven decision making.
  • Cash Flow Management:
    • Ensure the company meets its financial obligations and optimize cash flow to maintain a healthy financial position.
  • Compliance & Risk Management:
    • Ensure financial compliance with relevant laws and regulations, oversee internal controls, and manage system integrations to maintain a secure financial environment.
  • Financial Operations:
    • Supervise accounting staff, manage financial operations, and implement policies to ensure efficient and effective financial management.
  • Strategic Planning:
    • Support the financial strategy and participate in strategic planning sessions to inform business decisions.
  • Audit & Tax:
    • Coordinate external audits, manage tax compliance, and compile B-BBEE audit information to ensure regulatory compliance.
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree in accounting or a related field (SAIPA, SAIBA, or CIMA preferred).
  • 2+ years of experience in financial management.
  • Strong attention to detail, organizational skills, and ability to work under pressure.
  • Knowledge of accounting principles and financial reporting standards.
  • Proficiency in Google G-Suite, Microsoft Excel, Dext, and Xero is preferred.
