Job Description

The Company in Kempton Park, Gauteng, South Africa is seeking a highly skilled Quality Assurance Officer to join their team. As a key member of the Quality Assurance department, you will be responsible for ensuring compliance with aviation regulations and industry standards.

Key Responsibilities
  1. Assist the QA Manager in preparing and performing quality audits, surveys, and inspections, and facilitating corrective actions as needed.
  2. Provide guidance and direction for the planning, implementation, and operation of the organization's Quality Assurance Systems.
  3. Conduct investigations of internal safety events in accordance with the procedures specified in the Quality Assurance Manuals of the organization.
  4. Stop or prohibit any operation considered to be unsafe.

Duties Include:

  1. Quality Assurance
    1. Perform quality audits and inspections according to the audit schedule; identify findings and determine severity level in accordance with organizations' procedures.
    2. Record any concerns or findings with determined severity level, and the evidence necessary to substantiate such concerns or findings in accordance with organizations' compliance monitoring procedures.
    3. Submit completed audit documentation to the QA Manager for preparation of final audit reports in accordance with the organizations' procedures.
    4. Ensure that the QA Manager is kept properly informed on quality assurance matters.
  2. Document Control
    1. Organize and archive documents by scanning, copying, physically and electronically filing documents, organizing documents.
    2. E nsure documents are saved and safeguarded from theft or destruction; adhere to the organizations and SACAA document retention schedule.
  3. Training Administration
    1. Maintain training records and database.
    2. Book required training for the organization's employees and ensure they are properly notified.

Requirements:

  • A minimum of 5 years' experience in the aviation domain after obtaining an approved Quality Assurance Course, and Lead Auditing Course or equivalent qualification from an accredited facility.
  • Proven knowledge of Aviation Legislation and ICAO Annexes.
  • Proven exposure to aviation Quality Assurance.
