Junior Credit Manager Opportunity

Bright City Talent is seeking a highly skilled Junior Credit Manager to join our team. As a key member of our financial services team, you will be responsible for managing the credit approval process, ensuring effective credit control, and maintaining strong relationships with our clients and stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Conduct thorough credit risk assessments prior to credit meetings.
  • Evaluate the creditworthiness of prospective and existing commercial clients.
  • Lead and manage a team of new business support staff to ensure seamless credit management processes.
  • Review and manage the day-to-day responsibility of reviewing scorecards prepared by the new business support staff.
  • Oversee the preparation and documentation of contracts and credit facilities for new business support staff.
  • Manage the expected payouts per week directly from our clients, in collaboration with our BDOs, and report to the finance department.
  • Renew credit facilities for existing clients on a yearly basis, ensuring timely and accurate completion of tasks.
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, or a related field.
  • At least 3 years of experience in a commercial credit management environment.
  • Proficiency in financial analysis, credit scoring models, and accounting software.
  • Strong analytical skills to assess financial data and make sound credit decisions.
  • High level of accuracy and attention to detail when managing credit limits and assessing risk.
  • Ability to resolve complex credit and collection issues effectively.
  • Proven experience in managing teams and fostering a collaborative, high-performance environment.
  • Understanding of the company's industry sector and market trends affecting credit risk.
