Job Description:

The Logistics Coordinator will be responsible for transporting materials over designated routes, ensuring safe operation of vehicles, and providing excellent customer service by making prompt and courteous deliveries. The incumbent will also ensure that material loaded on the truck is as listed on the Ship Ticket and Delivery Manifest and is secured for safe transport from store to delivery location.

Responsibilities include unloading materials for customers at each delivery location in an orderly fashion while verifying that material being unloaded is correct based on the Ship Ticket, as well as performing daily detailed inspection of vehicle to ensure general maintenance and safety of vehicle.

All aspects of warehouse functions including receiving, storing, handling, shipping, and preparing product for customer delivery must be maintained in a safe and orderly fashion.

Qualifications:

A high school diploma or equivalent is preferred, and the successful candidate must have a valid driver's license in the state of residence with a minimum of three driving history. An acceptable motor vehicle record (MVR) with no type A violation; or no more than one type B violation in the past three years is required.

A Department of Transportation (DOT) physical examination will be conducted by a licensed medical examiner. The Logistics Coordinator must be able to read, comprehend, write, perform calculations, input accurately, reason, and analyze. Function independently, completing a variety of tasks accurately and with close attention to detail in a team environment.

Physical Requirements:

Frequent driving is required, exposing the incumbent to all types of weather conditions. The ability to work in a constant state of alert and in a safe manner is essential.
