Job Title: Senior Security Systems Technician

We are seeking an experienced and skilled Senior Security Systems Technician to join our team at Group Technical Security Management. The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing and leading the maintenance and installation of security technology systems.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Fulfill maintenance services and complete associated documentation at designated support locations in accordance with security systems standards and safety procedures.
  • Manage and lead maintenance and installation teams, ensuring high levels of health and safety on site at all times.
  • Perform regular site inspections, equipment inspections, and control room inspections.
  • Complete site and new installations, quotations, and project plans as necessary.
  • Attend to alarm manager, Cathexis, and system failure call-outs, and execute breakdown maintenance based on priority of equipment.
  • Accurately and timeously complete maintenance work orders and schedules for all security equipment under care.
  • Conduct weekly maintenance meetings, training sessions, and assist in breakdown situations.
  • Review objectives and actions against standards and procedures, recognize achievements, and set monthly objectives.
  • Compile a weekly maintenance/installation report and deliver exceptional maintenance/installation service.
Main Activities:
  • Routine daily inspections and derive new notifications for faulty or non-performing equipment.
  • Planned task list-driven preventative maintenance on all current installations within allowed time frames.
  • Execute planned work, including improvements, repairs, or replacements to current installations and new installations.
  • Condition-based maintenance and execution of breakdown maintenance based on priority of equipment.
  • Accurate and timeous completion of maintenance work orders and schedules for all security equipment under care.
  • Ongoing assessment and reporting of spare stock levels and utilization of spares.
  • Responsible for own time management records and subsequent approval by manager and technicians assigned under supervision.
