About the Position:

We seek an experienced Chartered Accountant with 2-3 years of post-article experience to lead our finance team. The ideal candidate will oversee day-to-day financial operations and manage the finance department.

Responsibilities:
  • Lead all accounting, tax and related functions.
  • Guarantee the accuracy and completeness of financial record-keeping for the Asset Finance Division.
  • Analyse financial data and ensure that all records are complete and accurate. Review discrepancies and trends to ensure accurate record keeping.
  • Prepare timely and accurate financial reports.
  • Review journals and ensure they are correctly posted to the correct accounts.
  • Conduct monthly balance sheet reconciliations.
  • Confirm inter-company balances with relevant parties within one day after month end to ensure all transactions are processed.
  • Submit statutory returns (VAT, EMP201 and Tax returns) on time.
  • Prepare provisional tax returns for review and submission.
  • Audit and Statutory Reporting: Manage year-end audits and statutory reporting, ensuring accuracy and resolution of all queries.
  • Team management: Ensure the team processes data accurately and on time. Review team's journals and reconciliations.
Requirements:
  • BCom Accounting Degree
  • CA(SA)
  • ITC clearance
Experience:
  • 2-3 years post-article experience
  • Outstanding communication skills both written and spoken
  • Deep understanding of business finance
  • Ability to perform account reconciliations
  • Effective team management skills
  • Strong attention to detail
  • Ability to work independently
  • Deadline-oriented
