Job Title: Head of Operations

Rory Mackie & Associates seeks a highly skilled and experienced Head of Operations to lead our procurement, logistics, and technical compliance functions.



Key Responsibilities:


  • Procurement and Logistics Management: Overall responsibility for the management of the procurement and logistics functions, ensuring timely and cost-effective delivery of goods and services.
  • Commercial Partners and Vendors: Manage the relationship and deliverables of commercial partners and vendors, driving business growth and profitability.
  • Continuous Improvement: Build a sustainable culture of continuous improvement in pre- and post-sale processes, enhancing the overall customer experience through cross-functional collaboration.
  • Leadership and Team Management: Lead and direct support staff to ensure consistent delivery of quality products, on time and on budget.
  • Strategic Development: Contribute to the development and implementation of strategies to enhance customer service, increase sales and efficiency, and improve overall profitability.


Requirements:


  • Commercial Qualification: Relevant commercial tertiary qualification.
  • Experience: At least 10 years' experience in a similar role, preferably in the electronics/technology industry.
  • Commercial Acumen: Strong commercial acumen, with proven numeracy and analytical skills.
  • Leadership Ability: Demonstrated influencing and negotiation skills, with strong leadership ability.
  • International Supply Chain Management: Quantifiable experience in international import supply chain management and distribution.
  • Technical Knowledge: Thorough knowledge of domestic warehousing and courier operations, as well as advanced skills in Microsoft Office products.
  • Cultural Sensitivity: Cultural sensitivity with good interpersonal skills, and a high degree of professionalism.


Reporting Structure:

Acts under the direction of the Managing Director (MD) and accepts functional direction from the Financial Director (FD).
