Senior Travel Designer Position at Wild Dreams Hospitality

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Travel Designer to join our team at Wild Dreams Hospitality. This is an exceptional opportunity for an experienced professional to utilize their expertise in designing and developing bespoke travel experiences for discerning clients.

About the Role

The successful candidate will be responsible for creating personalized itineraries that exceed client expectations, while maintaining a deep understanding of Southern and East Africa. Strong attention to detail and excellent communication skills are essential for this role, as well as the ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines.

Key Responsibilities
  • Design and Develop Customized Travel Experiences: Create unique and memorable journeys for clients, taking into account their preferences, interests, and budget.
  • Knowledge of Destination Expertise: Possess in-depth knowledge of Southern and East Africa, including its cultures, landscapes, and attractions.
  • Client Relationship Management: Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, ensuring their needs are met and exceeded throughout the journey.
  • Travel Planning and Operations: Coordinate all aspects of travel planning, including transportation, accommodations, and activities, to ensure seamless execution of customized itineraries.
  • Problem-Solving and Adaptability: Demonstrate strong problem-solving skills and adaptability in response to changing circumstances or unexpected events.
Requirements and Qualifications

To be considered for this role, applicants must possess the following qualifications and experience:

  • Matric Certificate: A minimum of a Matric certificate is required.
  • Tertiary Certificate in Travel & Tourism/Hospitality: A tertiary certificate in Travel & Tourism/Hospitality is advantageous but not necessary.
  • Experience in Inbound Travel Industry: At least 4-5 years of experience in handling customer relationships and developing product offerings in the inbound travel industry.
  • Computer Literacy: Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, including Outlook, Teams, Excel, and Word.
  • Knowledge of Tour Planning Systems: Working knowledge of TourPlan and WETU or similar booking/operating systems.
  • Excellent Communication and Problem-Solving Skills: Excellent communication and problem-solving skills, with the ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment.
Compensation and Benefits

The salary range for this position is approximately R650,000 - R850,000 per annum, depending on experience. In addition to a competitive salary, we offer a comprehensive benefits package, including health insurance, retirement savings plan, and paid time off.
