Job Title: Tour Consultant

Executive Placings is seeking a highly motivated and experienced Tour Consultant to join our team in Durban. As a key member of our sales team, you will be responsible for providing exceptional customer service and selling holiday packages to travel agents.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Offer professional travel advice and provide accurate quotations to customers/agents
  • Achieve personal sales targets by actively closing sales and converting quotations to bookings
  • Manage booking administration processes, including planning and preparation of cost itineraries
  • Maintain high levels of quality and productivity by managing workload and meeting deadlines
  • Ensure processes are followed to reduce errors and losses
Requirements:
  • Travel and Tourism Certificate
  • Amadeus or GDS and an understanding of airfare rules
  • Excellent numeracy and literacy skills
  • 3 to 5 years of travel industry experience in a retail or tour operator environment
  • Practical experience with compiling travel packages and creating costings
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook
  • Good geographical knowledge
  • Thorough working knowledge of the Reservation process from input to output
  • Accurate and detail-orientated
  • Effective communication skills
