About the Role

This exciting opportunity is available at MECS for a talented Financial Analyst to contribute to the success of our refinery finance team.

Key Accountabilities
  1. Monthly Cost Reporting: Develop and maintain accurate cost reports, collaborating with cost centre owners to ensure timely and reliable information.
  2. Financial Insights: Analyse financial data, identify trends, and provide actionable recommendations to improve financial performance.
  3. Expert Advice: Offer strategic financial guidance to the refinery business unit, leveraging expertise in accounting policies, IFRS, and tax matters.
  4. Continuous Improvement: Engage in special projects aimed at refining cost reporting processes, enhancing proficiency in SAP and ARIBA, and driving process efficiencies.
Essential Qualifications
  • A Chartered Accountant (SA) or Certified Management Accountant certification is mandatory.
  • Prior experience in cost analysis and reporting, ideally 2-5 years, is highly preferred.
  • Excellent technical, analytical, and communication skills are necessary for success in this role.
  • SAP expertise would be advantageous.
