Job Title: Assistant Operations Manager: Insurance

TFG Financial Services is seeking a highly motivated and experienced Assistant Operations Manager to join our team. As a key member of our operations team, you will play a critical role in leading and managing a team of supervisors in a fast-paced and dynamic working environment.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop and implement strategies to achieve monthly sales targets and key performance indicators (KPIs) by managing the portfolio to meet team and shift targets in line with brand product requirements.
  • Maintain and enhance portfolio compliance standards and legislative requirements, ensuring adherence to agreed quality benchmarks.
  • Implement, monitor, and maintain effective telemarketing and supporting strategies.
  • Effectively manage and coordinate individuals to ensure optimum people productivity by adhering to relevant people management processes.
  • Drive recognition and motivation activities in the department to maintain staff motivation and retention.
  • Optimize portfolio productivity by planning and coordinating relevant portfolio resources, including staffing, scheduling, employee skill, and competencies.
  • Manage relationships with internal and external stakeholders to achieve desired outcomes.
  • Analyze and compile reports accurately to provide feedback on overall portfolio performance, identified trends, and action plans.
  • Resolve escalated customer and operational queries efficiently and effectively.
  • Complete administrative tasks timeously and accurately.
Requirements:
  • Matric qualification.
  • Management-related qualification (advantageous).
  • RE5 Financial Services Board Qualification (advantageous).
  • Outbound sales experience in telemarketing.
  • 2 years of experience in a supervisory role.
  • 2 years of management experience managing a team of managers (advantageous).
  • Proven analytical, decision-making ability, and strong numerical and administrative skills.
  • Excellent communication skills (verbal, written, and interpersonal).
  • Computer literacy (MS Office and Intermediate Excel).
  • Sound understanding and application of people management procedures (e.g., IR, coaching).
  • Ability to work independently and within a team dynamic to drive results.
  • Highly driven, motivated, and assertive individual.
  • Excellent time management, planning, and organizational skills.
  • High attention to detail and ability to effectively problem-solve.

Flexible to work on Saturdays. Preference will be given, but not limited to, candidates from designated groups in terms of the Employment Equity Act.
