Job Title: Supply Chain Director

We are seeking a highly skilled Supply Chain Director to join our team at Isilumko Staffing (JHB). As a key member of our organization, you will be responsible for providing a comprehensive partnering service, focusing on demand planning and forecasting for short, medium, and long-term objectives.

Key Responsibilities:
  1. Establish business objectives and develop strategies to achieve them.
  2. Oversee the East Rand Factory, managing the Cost of Goods Budget.
  3. Demonstrate strong Human Resource and Leadership capabilities.
  4. Drive new product development initiatives.
  5. Manage distribution and warehouse operations effectively.
  6. Oversee sales and operations planning.
  7. Collaborate closely with key stakeholders, including Risk, Safety, and Environmental Managers.
  8. Apply strong financial and business acumen in budgeting, forecasting, and risk management.
  9. Lead turnkey activities, ensuring quality and customer service excellence.
Requirements:
  1. Degree in Supply Chain Management.
  2. Minimum of 10 years of management experience.
  3. At least 5 years in a senior management role within a unionized environment (manufacturing, packaging, distribution, or turnkey).
  4. Experience with an international company is essential.
  5. ISO certification preferred, particularly in the Cosmetics/Skin Care or FMCG industries.
Skills:
  1. Extensive knowledge of delivery and manufacturing management, materials management, packaging, transportation, supply chain principles, WHMIS, GMP, and SOP practices.
  2. Strong financial analysis and forecasting skills.
  3. Ability to bridge local work culture and corporate expectations.
  4. Proven experience in culture change management programs and their implementation.
  5. Excellent internal customer relations and business partnership skills within a commercial organization.
  6. Experience in continuous improvement, project management, and Warehouse Management System (WMS) implementation.
  7. Familiarity with imports/exports, sea freight route optimization, and tax/duty/customs cost optimization.
  8. Proven track record in spearheading Distribution Center (DC) integration projects and redesigning logistics processes.
  9. Proficiency in SAP is essential.
  10. Strong knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
  11. Exhibit excellent administrative and communication skills.
