Job Title: Mental Health

We are seeking a highly organized and professional Admissions Coordinator to manage various functions under the supervision of the Director of Admissions.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Communicate with family members and potential clients to inform them about patient care expectations and necessary personal items/belongings for patients to bring upon admission.
  • Be available to receive phone calls after hours, on holidays, and weekends.
  • Gather financial and insurance information from the client/fiduciary in a prompt and secure manner.
  • Communicate effectively with the billing company.
  • Complete phone intake screenings with potential clients and upload results into the Electronic Health Record (EHR).
  • Coordinate with medical and clinical staff to assess incoming clients.
  • Meet with families and prospective clients to accurately describe the program and services offered.
  • Follow the Admissions Process as directed, adhering to step-by-step details.
  • Complete all necessary paperwork prior to client intake as outlined in the Admissions Process.
  • Treat clients with dignity and respect, and communicate in a non-judgmental manner.
  • Assist with client transport as necessary.
  • Maintain professional boundaries with clients and interact with them in an appropriate manner.
  • Send updates to staff with new admissions and estimated times of arrival.
Qualifications and Education Requirements:
  • 3+ years of administrative experience.
  • Satisfactory drug screen and background check.
Preferred Skills:
  • Experience in substance abuse treatment.
  • Strong time management and organizational skills.
  • Ability to communicate effectively and empathetically with clients and family members.
  • Experience with EHR systems.
