About the Role:

We are seeking a seasoned Security Operations Manager Lead to oversee daily operations within our security division. This proactive leader will be responsible for ensuring compliance with industry standards, streamlining processes, and driving organizational goals. The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of security operations and a passion for excellence.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Operational Oversight: Manage the daily operations of the 24-hour control room, ensuring efficient monitoring and rapid response to incidents.
  • Guarding Services: Supervise and coordinate on-site guarding services, ensuring all personnel adhere to company policies and client requirements.
  • Equipment Management: Manage the installation and maintenance of security equipment, ensuring functionality and compliance with industry standards.
  • Policy Development: Develop and implement security policies, protocols, and procedures to enhance operational efficiency.
  • Risk Assessment: Conduct regular risk assessments and audits to identify potential vulnerabilities and recommend corrective actions.
  • Staff Recruitment and Training: Recruit, train, and mentor security staff, fostering a culture of continuous improvement and professional development.
  • Client Liaison: Liaise with clients to understand their security needs and ensure the delivery of tailored security solutions.
  • Financial Management: Prepare and manage budgets for security operations, ensuring cost-effectiveness without compromising service quality.
  • Industry Knowledge: Stay updated on the latest industry trends, technologies, and regulations to ensure the company remains at the forefront of security services.

Pre-requisites:

  • Education: Grade 12 or equivalent
  • Tertiary Qualifications: In the field of Management, Project Management, Security Management etc
  • Certification: Grade A Certification with valid PSIRA Registration
  • Experience: Minimum of 10 years' experience in a similar position within the security industry
  • Transportation: Own reliable vehicle and a valid driver's license
  • Computer Skills: Proficiency in computer applications, including security management software and Microsoft Office Suite
  • Interpersonal Skills: Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Leadership Qualities: Demonstrated ability to work under pressure and handle challenging situations effectively, Strong leadership qualities with a proven track record of managing and motivating teams
  • Security Expertise: In-depth knowledge of security protocols, risk management, and emergency response planning
